One Response to NaMaMo: Day 26

  1. Mat Twassel says:

Mahatma Gandhi provided the best advice I’ve ever received or given about masturbation.

    Sugar

A friend of mine shared an anecdote about the great teacher,
Mahatma Gandhi. I couldn’t resist adding a bit of a follow up.

Gandhi, naturally, acquired the reputation of being a
great teacher. One day, a mother brought her son to see Mr
Gandhi. She said to him, “Gandhi—please tell my son to stop
eating sugar.” Gandhi considered, and told the woman to
    come back in two weeks.

The two weeks passed, and the woman and son returned.
Now, Gandhi looked the young man in the eye and said,
“Stop eating sugar.” The mother was confused, and asked
why he couldn’t do that two weeks ago. Gandhi replied,
“Two weeks ago, I was still eating sugar.”

A month later the mother brought her son back to
    Gandhi.

“Please,” she asked of the great teacher, “You were so
helpful last time. Would you tell my son to stop playing with
    himself?”

Gandhi considered, then told the woman to bring her son
    back in two weeks.

The two weeks passed, and the woman and son returned.
Now, Gandhi looked the young man in the eye and said,
    “Don’t eat sugar.”
